http://home.allegiance.tv/~joem298/が一通りPXEの方法（PXEサーバのたて方）について書かれていてよい。もしPXEサーバが検出できないようだったら、DHCPサーバの競合やなぜか自分の払いだしたIPアドレスを自分のアドレスにしてしまう現象によるものの可能性が高いのでチェック。
上のフォーラムの方のリンクで、Jul 22 2004 : 7:07:29 PM justjoem2によって投稿されたものが、最終的にまとめられたやり方。再掲すると、
1. Make a PXE boot server on any networked Windows desktop as outlined in the link above.
2. Copy the /base directory from the restore DVD to the Windows desktop
3. Make an install.bat file like the one he showed above and put it in the /base directory on the Windows desktop.
4. Share the directory on the Windows desktop
5. Connect the M200 to the desktop network with a standard ethernet cable.
6. Boot using PXE and map the shared directory
7. Run install.bat
8. The system restores.

ただし、これは Portege M205/M200のやり方でリカバリDVDのようだ。Portege 2000のようにCD 3枚組という場合には、どうなるだろうか。
